I have a huge stack of CD artwork but no CDs. (The discs got messed up beyond all hope of repair and thus were thrown away but, because the artwork was stored separately, it's all fine.)

Can we trade CD artwork? I know that the DVD section has a swapping thread, but I don't see anything like that over here.

I am the DVD art swapping guy. I have not heard anything about creating a CD art swapping thread, but it seems like a great idea. Interest in the DVD art swapping was modest at first, but I am seeing more interest. I have made 5 trades of artwork myself, and in the last week or so, a couple of users have posted subtantial lists of "art available".

I think you just need someone to do it. I nominate you, under the tradition that the person that is community minded enough to identify a need should be punished by having to fill that need. Big Grin

If you want to keep it simple, at least at first, you could just start a thread with a list of your artwork, see if anybody chimes in with art they have or need. Later, you could create something more systematic, a la the DVD thread.

I am interested to see how much interest there is. DVD traders are like yapping dogs, they always want new features, changes to trading, to complain, compliment and conversationalize. Book traders are like cats. Usually quiet and alert, but occasionally they get riled up and make a racket that you can't believe is coming from such normally reticent creatures. CD traders are like little mice, you never hear from them, but you know they are around because of the "evidence" they leave. My analogy needs some work, because to my knowledge, no book trader has ever eaten a CD trader. Plus there are chimeric cat-dog, mouse-dog and other hybrid creatures.

Hehe. I just got "volun-told" - yay!

I'd like to see if anybody else is interested before I go to all the effort of creating my list. So...is anybody interested in trading CD artwork?

Awww. I wish I had a little blushing smiley.

And to think I put it down here where only the little mice will see it. Razzer

Sarah81,
hi.

I'm a fairly new member on TT and this is my first post in the forums. I saw your post in the forums and went ahead and got a groupee account because I wanted to tell you i think the art trading thread is a great idea.
I have a lot of cds that i'm missing artwork for and some extra artwork i don't need as well and would be happy to post it if you start an art trading thread. i'm sure lots of other people are in the same boat. Either way I'd love to see what's in your stack of orphaned artwork. Maybe you have something i need.
