With all the disc only trading that goes on, someone needs to be the home of artwork trading for DVDs and CDs. I'm thinking this could become a big thing due to peerflix, and other copycat trading sites.

Maybe we could make a category for it?

What do other DVD and CD traders think?

That would be a good feature to add. If the listings where 2 for 1 it would be great.

2 for 1 sounds about right to me too.

I spent 30 minutes scouring the web for a place to buy or trade original DVD and CD artwork.

I found a BIG FAT NOTHING!!!

Here's an opportunity for TT to set a trend and become a refuge (in more ways than one) for disc only traders on other sites.

And then they realize that they are paying twice for one disc, realize they can trade on TT and get disc and art in one trade, and they stay, and we get more traders!

This would be an awesome addition, I am still looking for 2 more myself and printing them out just isnt the same Plus it uses a lot of ink!

For instance, right now there's a movie listed that I want, but it's disc only.

I would get it if I could get the artwork in a separate trade because the disc is low points (2 pts). But I won't pay more than 1 pt for a disc only when I can't get artwork too.

I too think this is a great idea. I have a ton of back artwork for a bunch of cds that right now are just sitting on my shelf. I'd love to be able to trade them to people who need them.

Since Peerflix is pushing out users in droves....

This could become a very active category. I'd like to see us able to use Amazon's pics to go with it....

Okay, I'm asking for a lot here, but we might as well go whole hog on this request.

We could always do PM/email cross trading for artwork. Of course original artwork would be preferred.

IE:

If Jon needs artwork X & Y he could offer an item from his inventory for them. The person who has it PM/email Jon about the exchange.


Or we can add a new forum or thread for "original artwork" requests and deals. Members
would post what artwork they want/need and offer
a deal to get them. Once you receive the artwork you wanted/needed you edit your post.

I quit peerflix too. Don't like their new changes. I used to get tons of dvds without artwork it never bothered me either way.

But there are afew I would like artwork for.

My question is... will people still list dvds for 3 points without artwork then go and list the artwork for another point? If your offering points for artwork that's bound to happen. Plus don't dan and maggie have enough to do?

Also when veiwing peoples inventory how will it show up?

This is why I'd like to see two DVD listings categories. One disc only, one complete. Then it will be obvious when people are separating the discs and artwork to get extra points.

Then if you add an artwork category where the default is 2 pieces of artwork for one point, it gives the peerflix folks something to do with their extra artwork.

I reason that while they're here, they'll list their disc only's too, or get artwork for those, and then they'll start trading here.

It would be an experiment to find out if I'm right about that, perhaps too time-consuming for Dan and Maggie as TT is not their only project.

I suggest it mainly as a way to expand the site, and secondly as means of listing artwork for those in need, like me!
