I'm leaving on Thursday, for San Felipe, Mexico for a week in the hot hot sun.
Why go there, when you already live in the hot hot sun, you ask?
Something new and exciting. Also we are checking the place out for winter camping.

Well let me tell you all about it!
It was nice, but we decided we would not go back. It was in the mid to high 90's with 85% humidity!!! It was very sticky lol. The water (Sea of Cortez) had to be in the high 80's which is weird when you are used to the Pacific Ocean. People everywhere trying to sell you something.
On the way home we got two blow outs on the trailer...One in Mexico and one in CA. We had to leave the trailer on the side of the road overnight because we already used the spare. We could not find the right sized tires in the nearest town. It was crazy. It took ten hours to make a 6 hour trip.

No drinky the tequlia! Otherwise I'd be throwing this besides shoes too! Eeker

Did you buy any traditional stuff ? A Poncho or something ? I tend to buy such stuff just because. It usually ends in the cabinet and stays there. LOL

What happened to your car is terrible. How are the people ? Food ?

Would you recommend this place to me ? I´ve never been to Mexico.

I bought a little sun dress (not traditional)
dresses for my girls (traditional)
a toe ring
an anklet
fresh clams so good $2.00 a dozen. we steamed them.
two henna tattoos lol
some guys on the beach drive around in this truck and sell pina coladas (non alcholic) and these coconut drinks...they are soooooo delicious! they were the best. The food was good. I ate lots of seafood. No lobster though, they said it was the wrong time of year. The water was too warm.
The people were very nice. I learned some new Spanish words. Very helpful.
During the low tide there are tide pools and that was cool to look for sea creatures.
It is very poor there. If it something that is hard for you to be around I wouldn't recomend where we went.Lots of stray dogs. Frowner NO AC, in most of the shops and very dirty. My husband took his dirt bike and went riding and said just outside of town is the "dump" miles and miles of trash. No one trying to make it organized like the dumps here. He said it was horrible. There is also a lot of trash in the water. Very hot and humid.
My friends go to Mazatlan two or three times a year and LOVE it! It is much farther south, they fly. Not as dirty or poor.
WE had a lot of fun but we wont go back, maybe Ensanada it's much more turisty there and cleaner. Especially where the boats come in. I don't recommend that part of Mexico we went to Frowner
