Hi BJ,
What your eluding to is intriguing. Off-site people see the listings?
Who are they? How do they get the books?
Is it just for Books or for other items too?
Puhleeese elaborate!

Hi Bill Like I said I may have it wrong. If so I'm sure I"ll hear about it.. As far as I can tell it is only books..and what happens is if they see your book listed it brings them to tt.if they want the book I am guessing they will have to join tt..not sure though on that one if they can just request or have to join.same goes for us I guess if we wanted a book that wasn't listed on tt and another swap site had it then we do the same.I just posted mine yesterday.so far nothing.but nothing from tt either.lol.so what do we have to lose?If I am wrong in my thinking then you all can throw pie in my face lol.

From LibraryThing:LibraryThing does not swap books. But we're glad to hook you up with book swapping sites. As we wrote, we've contacted all the sites below, asking them to cooperate to both our sites' users benefit. The "preferred" sites have done so. The others? Not yet.Listing your books on LibraryThing isn't going to help you swap your books unless you are trying to do matchups to see if anyone has one of your titles wished on another swapsite. What LibraryThing is supposed to do if the interface is set up correctly between it and a swap site is to let others know that a certain book is available (or wishlisted) on a swapsite. Examples: Have a copy of Janet Evanovich's new book Twelve Sharp? http://www.librarything.com/work-swap/450001Want a copy of John Grisham's Bleachers http://www.librarything.com/work-swap/3338
