I really really really want this so I thought I'd put up a vote to see what others think.

Question:
Do you want to see a disc only DVD Category Created to separate these from DVDs that come with Artwork?

Choices:
Yes
No
Don't Care
I'd Prefer Revamping DVDs so that disc only shows on the first page listing

I voted no, because I favor the option of having the information about art appear on the index page. That allows 1 stop shopping for DVDs, but you don't have to click on a DVD to find out it is not what you want.

Darn Gip, I should have made your idea an option as well. I guess everyone favoring GIP's idea should post that to this thread.Smiler

I agree with GIP. I would like to see the information on index page.
I didn't vote in poll.

I added GIP's suggestion to the poll but that wiped out all the votes so far. Please vote again GIP, and Lynxxy, you can now vote too. Big Grin

Oh man, I voted! I sometimes go through 20-30 pages checking each video, only to say, "oh well." Sometimes, lol, I wonder if I don't settle for some DVDs (with all the artwork/case) just because I have been looking forever & it's the first I find with with everything in tact. I say a seperate category is only fair. More truth in advertising & less hassle for those who DO NOT want a DVD without everything that it should come with! Smiler

I love reading sci-fi fantasy. Last year I read only 49 novels - my goal is 52 this year!

Interesting results!

So far the votes indicate that virtually everyone feels the discs only need to either be identified as such or segregated, right from the gitgo!

I agree Bill, yeses are killing no. Although I have to believe that there is a large "don't care" contingent that is not voting. Smiler

Hopefully, those who do care (even enough to not care, if you get my drift)

WILL VOTE.

Thank you for your support!!

I voted yes. I liked the idea of the last choice, but I would prefer that disc only be put on the back pages. Always put your best items out first...

I voted no because it is a doubled edged sword solution. Sure it may reduce the amount of excess DVDs without artwork in the main DVD section.

But we are bound to be flooded with DVDs without artwork. This will possibly influence complete DVD listers to list their DVDs as DVD only. Many people will be trying to get far to many points for them.

We'd be better off with a customizing feature for the listings. This would work by choosing the best features to discribe your item(s).

IE:

You want to post a DVD. First you would enter the ISBN, UPC #, etc. The DVD will show up in the listings.

Next you will select the one that matches your item. Now using the customizing feature you adjust the specifics of the DVD you have.

EX 1:

DVD: ABC
Disc:[X]
Disc Art: Original[X] Printed Copy[ ]
Disc Case:[X]
Condition: New [X] Used [ ]

Ex 2:

DVD: XYZ
Disc:[X]
Disc Art: Original [ ] Printed Copy[X]
Disc Case:[ ]
Condition: New [ ] Used [X]

Then in the details box you can enter more info. as needed. Like if the DVD has scratches, or has a different cover than the one shown, etc.

**This** feature can also be used for the CD section.

I will be coming around more soon. Smiler

Due to the recent downward spiral of TT I've decided to leave for a better trading environment. I may return if TT becomes a fun place to trade and interact again. Until then
I bid you all a farewell. Frowner

I voted yes for it would be alot easier for someone who does not like their DVDS without artwork to avoid them.Myself i do not mind buying a DVD without artwork and disc only if i want the movie.Makes no nevermind to me.
But i was thinking of the people who do not like it when i voted.
