I am so mad. I ordered a DVD from someone for 2 TT points. THen I get an email telling me they won't take less than 3 points for this same item. I responded with some questions about the item. They send me an answer and then 20 minutes later, before I can let them know I still want the item, even for 3 points, they cancel my trade and tell me the item is taken. Is this acceptable TT policy? I am fairly new but have several trades under my belt and have never seen this before. At this point I kind of have a bad taste in my mouth about TT, especially in regards to admin and their seeming lack of regard for peoples frustrations. If anyone has any encouragement or suggestions about situations like this I would appreciate it.

Are you sure it wasn't one of those double posts where you had to select both 2 point listings to successfully request the item? That's a common practice in order to bypass the system's maximum assigned point values on certain items.

No because he even admitted that he did not know how to change the point value that it was posted with. The interesting thing about this is, he posted quite a few movies and I happened on this one pretty soon after it was posted. I did not hear from him for more than a week after I requested this movie plus another.

it happens sometimes unfortunantly that a trader is just a jerk. At least the trade was canceled. getting points back is almost imposable. TT has its good points like being able to trade anything and the admins dont harp on us . The down side is getting an admin to fix a problem with a trader is rare. good thing it dosent happen too often. Smiler

I don't know if anything would come of it; but you could complain to the owners of the site...

It's against the rules to list something, and then ask for more points after it's requested... The person who did this is just plain greedy...

Probably works for a bank, or oil company...

An item can be canceled for any reason and some people on here suck. Unlike me, who is a wonderful and beautiful person. Go ahead, request a one point book from me and I will cancel it and send it to you for free, susang. Smiler It probably won't renew your faith in rotten people but it will show you my saintly powers. Nobody will even respond, Windel. Don't you remember that one guy threatened to kill me if I posted another thing about him on the boards? Yeah...death threats are cool with the staff. Amen.

Good to see you stirring the pot, this morning, Rock. If laughing coffee was death-threat worthy, you'd be in trouble. Wink

I'm getting a restraining order on all of your trades, woman. You're finished.

Personally i feel if someone wants more than what they originally posted it for.is uncool...they shouldn't be posting.they should have asked someone who knows about TT first before posting to avoid this hassle. You have a right to be frustrated.I would be.
