Crap. I think I just made a Newbie mistake. I was trying to buy points to get some books that I want right away for my upcoming vacation. So I funded my account with $10 through PayPal, only to realize I can't use those funds to purchase points. When I try to buy points, it takes me back to PayPal. Now that I look at it, it seems so obvious how it works and I'm feeling pretty stupid.

So it looks like the only thing I can use the $10 funds in my account for is AutoRequest? But that does me no good at all, since I have no points. Does anyone know if there's any way I can undo what I did and get back the $10 in my account, or use that to purchase the points I need?

Many thanks for your patience with the newbie,
Jade

Do you have trades fulfilled that you can request books right away ?
A lot of people are looking for Paperbackswap or Bookmooch points and are willing to trade their TT points.

That might be an option for you. :-)

Two books were requested from me on BookMooch yesterday, so that takes care of the points for the books I wanted right away. Now it's just figuring out what to do with this $10 sitting in my account that I might never be able to use. I sent an e-mail to support, but browsing the forum, I get the idea that I may wait close to forever for an answer.

So, is it true that I can print postage if I fund my account???

There is only one book I want very much and I am about to fund my account so I can auto-request it...but $5.00 is the least amount I can fund. If I can use it to print postage, that would be great!

Anyone? Thanks in advance.

News to me. As far as I know, the money is just for the auto-request.

I am hoping to find The Teapot Book by Steve Woodhead, it is a technical book on making teapots...I just figured out how to add it to my wishlist!! Of course, if you find it on another site, that would be great! Thanks!
