I request a DVD for 3 or 4 points, and when I go to relist it a week later, I can only get 2... This has happened 3 times to me...
Now when I go to list "National Lampoon's Dorm Daze" that I got for 2 points, I can only get 1?
I'll list it on ebay for a buck, before I lose a point for it here...
I thought DVDs were a minimum of 2 points? They were not too long ago...
I can only list the first SEASON of the Osbournes for 1 point?
There's no way I'm spending over 3 points for anything here, unless I plan on keeping forever... There's too much of a risk in it losing value by the time I watch it...
Oh yes... So far I've lost 2 points, playing the Reposting Game (that's where you repost an item already in your list, so it's seen as 'newly listed')... Then I gave up... Nothing I list goes up in value... only down...
It's like a stock market and i'm stuck with common stock of enron... luckily it can't go down past one...
Seriously though, if I knew that DVDs would go back down to 1 point, I would have never requested many of the things I did...
I'm hoping this is just a glitch, and I'll be able to list normal (not dollar store) DVDs for a minimum of 2 points soon...
I think there have always been some 1 pt DVDs. Just out of curiousity, other than those you've mentioned, did any others go down that you didn't expect to?
That happens to me too. I do agree it gets annoying
Osbourne Season 1 should be more then 1 point, thats insane.
You were the one who requested Dorm Daze from me, however that never went up or down - it was 1 point when I listed it. That's why I only listed it with original artwork & disc & no case.

Okay, I remember now Dorm Daze being 1 point.. prolly why I got it... I gave it a new case...
Bill, that Poker DVD I think I got for 4, I have listed for 3, would be a max of 2 if I relisted it now... That suprized me... Actually, I'm suprized and disapointed anytime I can't relist something for what I requested it for...
When I tried to list Osbournes season 1, and Dorm Daze was the only time since I've joined that I haven't been able to list a DVD for at least 2 points (Other than a couple dollar store DVDs) I just assumed that DVDs are worth at least 2...
Like I said, I hope it's just a glitch...
I'm just saying I'm not gonna risk points by paying more than 2 or 3 points for anything; If I have even the remote interest in relisting it later... Now that I've seen that they can drop to one point...
Windel, I just did a private trade of a brand new Disney DVD. This was a really good animated movie, and the requester agreed to pay me an extra point for it by requesting a magazine. I wouldn't have traded it otherwise.
I did another private trade where I sent out 3 DVDs. I owed the requester a point, but I dropped one of the other DVDs a point because not only is this person a friend, but you can send 3 DVDs at $1.59 media rate.
The foregoing is a long winded lead up to this: If you or anyone else can order 3 DVDs from me at once, I'll be glad to give back one pt for what I save on hassles and shipping.
Also, if you ever want to do some private trades, send me an email and we can both save on shipping. Bill
I suppose that losing some points is kind of inevitable. The value of used DVDs must be at a maximum at release and then go down over time. However, it sounds like you may be having a run of bad luck with this. Or the bottom is dropping out of the market.
DVDs used to almost always be 1 or 2 points, but Dan tweaked the pricing, so now normal DVDs (non-collector's items) go 1-5 points.
The points for DVD seasons is out of whack if you ask me. A season listing at the same price as a bargain bin DVD, even if the season is fairly common or inexpensive, does not make sense to me. However, I looked it up at a couple of other sites I trade on, and Osbournes season 1 trades on those sites for the rough equivalent of 2-3 TT points, so it is not as far off as I first supposed. I am a member of more than one DVD trading site, and while I don't usually search for the best price, when I find something trading at what I consider an unreasonable price, I will try a different site.
Anyway, I don't know what people's experience with falling prices is in general, so I hope you just had a string of bad luck.
