Has anyone else encountered this? I really am not comfortable with a trader passing along my mailing information to a 3rd party.

Not sure what drop shiping is exactly. But your mailing info is passed along even if you do ups or usps. Not knowing exactly what drop shiping is I dont seem to understand the problem.

Dropshipping is usually when a retailer does not have any physical inventory on hand but they rely on 3rd party businesses/warehouses to fulfill orders.

The problem I have is that my address info should ONLY be available to the person I am swapping with and not relayed to a company I am unfamiliar with.

No, never encountered this, and of course it would make anyone uncomfortable, just what we need, one more advertisement in our mailbox.
Not to mention, I'd like to know that someone doesn't have the item in hand.

Yep, items being dropshipped that were requested from TT. Kinda defeats the purpose of trading. Granted, I use this for business as well, but at least I have items on hand and do some quality control. With ordering from a dropshipper, you never know what will arrive. One was a previous rental.

I had this happen recently. What really bugged me about it is that the member is one that Requires you to request 2 items from them so they can save on shipping - but both DVD's were shipped separately! No savings if they are not mailed together, so why the requirement?

Because they want you to have to request two items if you really want one yull go find somthing else to get it.

I had a package drop shipped to me also. I thought it was weird and didn't really understand why it would be that way. Seemed like someone was in cohoots with someone else.....or maybe not, I don't know. It just made me think.
